To the best of our knowledge, there's no engineering university in the world that teaches its students how to build fast tractors. Nonetheless, once these agricultural machines reach the real world, certain people will always have a fetish for V8-ing the hell out of them. People like the guy in the video below.
The man decided that was his Massey Ferguson tractor really needed was not another plowing accessory or field work hardware. No. The guy dropped a Chevy V8 into the tractor and is now enjoying the fruits of his insanity.

The engine we're talking about is a 350 Chevy, which has received a custom exhaust setup to go with the agricultural theme. The V8 works with a Powerglide automatic tranny, while all the muscle is sent to the field/road via a Ford 9-inch rear end that was narrowed in order to fit the tractor.

As you'll be able to see in the clip, the man puts the Ferguson to work fun in all sorts of environments, including the road.

Fret not, safety fans. Somehow, this guy seems to be aware of the utter lack of safety present in this contraption. From the sheer handling of the thing to its base-only seat, nothing here is designed to help the man behind the wheel keep the beast on track. As a result, the man never seems to engage in dangerous full-throttle pleasures. Sure, a roll cage, a bucket seat and a seat belt would be fitting.

In a blue collar way, we've always enjoyed sitting behind the wheel of small, open-cabin tractors. Perhaps its the feedback these brutish machines offer or maybe it's the sheer "I am on a mechanical horse" attitude that makes us pay attention to them, we're not sure. Who said life at the farm has to be slow?
