General Motors wants to prove it can make cars that can take on anything, even a Decepticon army invading Earth. There’s no point in telling you that the carmaker has deep ties with the new Transformers movie, as this is clearly apparent from the past two cinematic creations.
However, it surprised even us to see how “Chevy runs deep” in Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon. A video feature was recently posted in the den of all things Camaro - the muscle car’s official Facebook page.
Sideswipe, the Autobot that reverts to the Stingray Corvette concept is featured prominently in the preview, however it seems to have lost its roof for an even more svelte appearance. The video below also put clear emphasis on the Bumblebee Camaro, which seems more powerful and muscular than ever before. T
his is probably the more adored car by Transformers fans, a somewhat mute, oversized but rather friendly yellow robot, the Camaro managed to enter the public conscience and appeal to a wide audience. The Camaro convertible also makes an appearance in the video, though we think its just a regular car.
The Chevrolet Sparks are still involved, but the most interesting new appearance is a Chevy... 458 Italia painted in bright red. Those mad NASCAR Impalas also have quite the presence, as do a few modified Hummers.
Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon the plot of the third installment of the movie has something in common with the second: the giant robots have been here before in the past, but this time it’s the Autobots that don’t know the full story. According to the movie trailer, the race to reach the Moon was actually started in order to reach a crashed spaceship that crash-landed there. We're not goint to spoil it for you, but Optimus says that humans have been working with the Decepticons for over 50 years... apparently!
