The modifications were showcased at the Auto Mobil International auto show in Leipzig this weekend. The Cruze Irmscher Edition gets an optional boot lid spoiler, along with 18-inch alloys and aluminium door sills. Also, the backside sports elliptical twin exits for a more sporty appearance.
On the performance side, Irmscher worked on the 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine, adding 36 horsepower and 107.7 lb-ft of torque (146 Nm) for a total output of 186 horsepower and a maximum torque of 343.7 lb-ft at 2.030 rpm (466 Nm).
The transmission is a 5-speed manual, the one fitted by the Chevrolet factory, and the consumption is rated at 30 mpg (7.8 liters/100 km) on the EU test cycle. Another modification made by Irmscher was to lower the suspension by 25 millimeters, in order to improve road holding.According to the German tuner, the diesel Cruze accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 8 seconds, a drop by 2 seconds as compared to the standard car. The maximum speed is 136 mph (219 km/h), 5.6 mph more than what the standard car manages. The Cruze Irmscher Edition is available for order exclusively at Chevrolet's German dealerships. Previously, Irmscher offered the same styling kit to German customers, but without the performance modifications.
Customers can choose whatever they want from the modifications list. The engine upgrade costs 953 Euros (including warranty), the lowered suspension 418 Euros, while the wheels and tires cost 1898 Euros.
