Camaro5.com received the info from BeckyD@RodgersChevrolet, who had taken part in a National Chevrolet Dealer's meeting.
We have to start by mentioning that company officials call the vehicle the "HP Edition" - the "Z28" designation was not mentioned during the event.
So, let's see what Chevy has confirmed. First of all, the production is scheduled to debut on January 1 2012, which means we still have to wait a full year to see our hero in action.
The vehicle will be powered by a 6.2 liter supercharged mill. We'll make a speculation break here, by adding that the Z28 is likely to get the Cadillac CTS-V's 6.2 liter LSA V8, a powerplant that delivers 556 hp and a peak torque of 551 lb-ft (746 Nm). This would offer the vehicle enough grunt to allow it to go after many supercars, creating an interesting battle.
Getting back to the confirmed stuff, we'll tell you that the car will be connected to the road via a Magnetic Ride suspension, using 285F/330R rubber.
As for the eye-candy part, the Z28 will offer an aggressive hood design with air scoops, while the interior will also get some attention, offering novelties such as brighter trimming.
Our say: We're counting the days... (and nights and everything).
