Chesca Miles Rides Classic BSA Spitfire Bike at Carte Blanche Launch

Chesca, Deaver, the BSA Spitfire and the Continental GT
British female stunt rider, model and singer, Chesca Miles, starred alongside Jeffery Deaver at the recent James Bond latest novel launch. Chesca rode a 1966 BSA Spitfire classic motorbike through London’s St.Pancras station, in front of a red Bentley Continental GT in which Deaver was driven in.

The day’s Bond girl was inspired by one of Bond’s love interests in Carte Blanche, whose passion for speed and fast engines rivals Bond’s own.

As you can see in the video below this article, four members of the Royal Marines Display Team descended from the roof of the St. Pancars, bearing copies of the novel, which were handed over to
Deaver in front of members of Ian Fleming’s family and invited guests.

"It was an amazing event. They asked me along as they needed a female rider that could fit into that 'Bond girl' stereotype. How does it feel being a Bond girl...? Amazing!” the British female stunt rider was quoted as saying by MCN.

"Getting to ride a 1966 BSA Spitfire through St.Pancras station in front of the Bentley and a huge crowd of press and public, you don't often get to do that. What a truly amazing event, it was a real honor,"
Chesca added.

The BSA SPitfire was manufactured by the Birmingham Small Arms Company from 1963 to 1968, being one of the first ‘street racers’ with two large-bore Amal GP carburettors with velocity stacks, a new twin-downtube steel frame and new Girling shocks. Other notable features include‘teardrop’ side covers for the engine, while the tachometer lacked a redline.
