The German edition of the GQ Men of the Year Awards ceremony was held at the Komische Oper in the historic center of Berlin last night, and saw a plethora of celebrities from around the world flock to it, all coming in BMW cars.
Yes, the German manufacturer was the official partner of the event and, consequently, in charge of shuttling all the VIPs from and to the venue. The awards recognized outstanding German and international personalities from show business and the music scene, as well as society, sports, politics, culture and fashion.
Since this was a perfect moment to showcase the latest offerings from Munich, the BMW didn’t hesitate to have most of the celebrities pose with its new M4 GTS, a stunning car in any given situation. Amongst those that posed with it, you could spot Isabelle Huppert, Katrin Sass, Alena Gerber, Lena Meyer Landrut, Fernanda Brandao, Mads Mikkelsen, Sir Tom Jones, and even Tommy Hilfiger.
The entertainers that performed on stage included Bryan Adams, Lang Lang, and German hip-hop band Die Fantastischen Vier, everyone seeming to have a good time.
The host, Barbara Schoneberger, had the honor to hand out the awards to their prospective winners: Boris Becker for the Sports category, Tommy Hilfiger for Fashion, and Mads Mikkelsen for Film, culminating with an honorary "Legend" award for Sir Tom Jones.
And in case you’re falling in love with the BMW M4 GTS after checking out the adjacent photos, you should know that only 700 units will be built. The fastest car the Bavarians ever built is also quite expensive, starting at €142,600 in Germany. Unfortunately, if you’re interested in owning one and you live in the U.S., we can’t provide a price tag at the moment, but it should also be in the vicinity of $140,000. Deliveries will begin in April next year.
