If Carroll Shelby wouldn’t have passed away in May 2012, he would have celebrated his 91st birthday earlier this month. To commemorate the event, several Shelby fans honored the Man at the 2nd Annual Carroll Shelby Tribute Cruise-In, which was held at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on January 11.
The event gathered lots of vintage and modern musclecars, including the most famous race cars built by Shelby American, the Cobra Daytona, the GT350 and the Ford GT40, the latter a four-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner between 1966 and 1969.
Street legal vehicles included both early Cobras and 427s, GT350s, GT500s, and classic convertibles. Fifth-generation Shelby Mustangs were also displayed, while some owners brought in their Shelby Series 1 roadsters.
