As incredible as it may sound, this automotive drama happened far away from Russian traffic. Somewhere in the Sea of Japan, between Toyama (Japan) and Vladivostok (Russia), to be precise, where the Astongate cargo ship was caught in a storm with 64 cars onboard.

That wouldn’t be a problem under normal circumstances, but the Russians loaded the vehicles and didn’t bother tying them down. Once the storm kicked it, the cars started flying off the frozen deck into the water. 52 out of 64 Japanese vehicles found their way to the bottom of sea.

You’re probably wondering about the outcome of this event. Well, it seems the owner of these vehicles signed a document that said the cargo will be transported aboard the ship at his own risk. We figure he wasn't happy when he got 12 wrecked cars instead of 64. One thing’s for sure, the way these cars were handled is outrageous. Scroll below to watch the terrifying video.
