CARB Approves $27 Million Fund for California Clean Air Program
However, the fund will be further supplemented by an additional $5-million, provided by the California Energy Commission. Of the $32-million total, $10-million will be used to fund the popularization of zero emission commercial vehicles and buses, with $2-million being used for the demonstration of some advanced technologies, to further inform the public on the matter, as the program has proved effective since its inception.
Apparently, since AQIP was first initiated, back in 2008, they have already put over 7,500 green cars on the roads of California, as well as over a thousand commercial vehicles and buses. We all know that California is a very green-minded state, and this funding boost will go a long way to assuring that they continue to fight for their cause.
