German carmaker Volkswagen decided to shelve plans to start production of the Amarok, as the company is waiting to see the development of certain markets initially slated to receive the SUV. According to an autocar.co.uk report, Volkswagen believes the SUV market is already saturated and decided to wait before rushing to introduce the vehicle. “Across the group we already make the Touareg, the Cayenne, the Q7, the Q5 and Tiguan,” said VW Group financial boss Klaus-Dieter Schurmann. “That's five cars in this class.
