Capirossi: MotoGP Riders Are Girls, Road Racers Are Real Men
The former 250cc champion in the FIM world championship and veteran racer in the queen class (500cc and MotoGP) admitted that he has the utmost admiration for the road racers that have the courage to come year after year and compete in the famous Isle of Man TT, and revealed that he feels like a little girl when standing by their side.
“Compared to what you guys do I am really a girl, you are real men. I am 100 per cent not thinking about ever going road racing!” said Capirossi during the aforementioned event, as reported by crash.net.
The Italian rider, who last autumn secured another year in the MotoGP series with Suzuki (for 2010) revealed that he wants to attend this year's Isle of Man competition – scheduled for the late May and early June – but only from the comfort of his own car.
“I hope to be in the Isle of Man during TT week to help celebrate Suzuki's 50 years in road racing, but I will be going round in a car!” added the 36-year old rider, who was presented with the Adelaide Lifetime Achievement Award during the same event.
