Cadillac XTS Commercial: Night Out

Cadillac knows that its average owner age will push a hundred if they don’t revitalize the brand. That’s why their brand new commercial for the XTS sedan (the first one, we believe) focuses on the younger generation.

This isn’t exactly Gen Y stuff, but it’s close, which is surprising for a company that usually sticks to B-roll driving footage and explaining safety features.

The ad is about a bunch of hip guys in casual but well fitted suits that decide to play a little baseball at night.

The boys jump back into the fully speced XTS and drive off on the highway listening to music on their CUE system. They spot a truck drive who’s stuck in the middle of nowhere. They pick him and his dog up and go to a diner.

There, one of our protagonists picks up a waiter girl (who’s quite cute) and dances with her. It all ends next morning, as the owner arrives at his apartment building, his doorman seemingly knowing how much fun he had during his “Night Out”. You’re kind of forced to identify with this guy, as you begin to see the merits of Cadillac XTS ownership.

This has to be the coolest Cadillac commercial we’ve seen in a long time. It’s Super Bowl material!

We know just how much you guys like to find the music from your favorite commercial. We’ve been looking long and hard the song in Cadillac’s “Night Out” ad, and found it’s "Play It" by a band called Victory. The single has yet to be released, which is why it’s so tricky to find. Sources tell us it will be due out in a few months in “SPRING 2013”.
