Cadillac Pondering Large Crossover
Speaking to Automotive News, Ferguson said GM is pondering a large, unibody crossover that would offer a different ride experience when compared to the truck-like Escalade.
“I'd like to explore the notion of other vehicles that would carry that brand name. There are a number of individuals who just love this vehicle, but there are others who would say 'I would love something that would give me a different ride and a different experience,’” commented Ferguson.
General Motors already offers three large seven-seat crossover on the Lambda platform - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia - but it’s not yet clear whether a future Cadillac will use the same underpinnings.
