It's no secret that Mercedes has a whole family of cars being developed on the same platform as the W205 sedan, but by far the most interesting one is the coupe. It's the basis for the next C63 AMG Coupe, the car every tuner will want to work on, a BMW 4 Series rival and a luxury vehicle for 2+2.
This isn't the first time we've shown you a rendering of the new C-Coupe, but this latest one previews the AMG Package for the car. Jumping straight into aggressive sportscar territory, this collection of spoilers and large intakes makes the coupe look like it's an AMG, even though it's actually being powered by a four-cylinder engine.
Some say this is cheating, but Mercedes would much rather offer the package than allow tuners to make money with aftermarket fitment or real AMG bits.
The AMG line will undoubtedly be offered when the C-Class coupe goes on sale. It will feature a more aggressive front bumper incorporating a dramatic chrome front splitter. The pack features larger dual air intakes and a few other nips and tucks.
Just like with BMW's M packages, there will also be a few mechanical changes, such as new drilled front brake discs, uprated calipers as well as a new sports suspension, dropping the car by 15mm.
