Not that the standard Bugatti Veyron is all that common, but the six special one-of-three Bugatti Legends models offered a little extra exclusivity for buyers. For one customer, that still wasn’t enough individuality, so he had his very own Veyron commissioned, which was special enough that Bugatti refers to the car as the Grand Sport Vitesse "1 of 1."
This custom design starts with the black-and-yellow color scheme, which Bugatti says was a staple of company founder Ettore Bugatti, and although there are just a handful of Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse models left for sale, Bugatti ensures this color scheme will never be duplicated thus making the 1 of 1 a truly one-off car.

A similar paint job was used on many vintage Bugatti cars include the Type 41 Royale, the Type 55 and the Type 44. For this special occasion, the black-and-yellow Type 44 shown above was on hand at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance for an incredible photo op.

Perhaps the coolest feature of all is the front grille. While the grilles of most cars are frequently overlooked, this Veyron’s grille will be a centerpiece of conversation. Bugatti created and patented a special multi-step process to create this hand-polished, anodized grille, but the most unique element is that the customer’s initials “PL” are replicated in the grille pattern. Bugatti spent more than 200 hours to create the grille alone.

The two-tone scheme continues on the inside with unique elements including the sketch of a Bugatti Type 35 in between the seats, laser perforated door panels with a Bugatti Veyron silhouette and text on the center tunnel that reads “one of one.” And if all that isn’t special enough, Bugatti president Wolfgang Dürheimer was on hand at Pebble Beach over the weekend to personally present the customer, who is from Singapore, with his truly unique Veyron 1 of 1.

No word on how much a custom-commissioned Veyron of this magnitude would cost, but it surely costs more than the €2 million ($2.7 million USD) that the average Veyron sells for.
