BuellTooth Version 2 is a small add-on for the owners of Buell 1125, X1, XB12 and XB9 motorcycles and it allows them to perform engine software tweaks using a free application and an Android smartphone or tablet.

These tweaks alter the Electronic Control Modules (ECM) using the ECMDROID application, and the fun thing is that using the BuellTooth dongle does not require being tethered to the bike. A special adapter socket makes interfacing with the bikes' brains easy and safe. The watertight socket also makes sure your BuellTooth will work flawlessly in almost any conditions, and connecting the BuellTooth to your bike's ECM maintenance plug could not be any easier.

This dongle is also small and rugged enough to carry in the pocket of your jacket or your backpack. It can perform a lot of tasks, making the ownership of a Buell bike a more rewarding experience.

Users can perform TPS resets, run diagnostics, view trouble codes and clear them, or test installed components. Also, the BuellTooth Version 2 offers live data viewing and data logging, helps configure and change settings including AFV (Adaptive Fuel Value), and save, install and modify maps, even on stock ECMs.

Upon connecting the BuellTooth Version 2 to the adapter and pairing it with your Android phone or tablet, an LED should light up and tell you that the system is working. Other software, such as EcmSpy and TunerPro are also compatible with BuellTooth Version 2, and X1 owners will have to use EcmSpy.

Unfortunately, the BuellTooth will not work with Apple phones and tablets because the application is only available for Android devices. However, with Android tablets up for grabs for prices under $100, gaining access to your Buell's ECM and settings should not be a problem.

The BuellTooth Version 2 will set you back a nickel under $47. Check out this link to download free Buell maps.
