Some unfortunate Ashington residents woke up with a most unwelcome visitor in their house not even two days ago. On Sunday, a BMW E70 X5 was simply driven by a 25-year-old man through their front door and straight into their living room.
Apparently, the driver was arrested immediately after the accident happened but the wreckage still has to be dealt with. Fortunately, nobody was injured but we’re pretty sure that doesn’t make things any sweeter for the poor owners that now have to get a SUV out of their house and buy some new furniture.
The funny thing is that the car is actually looking like it could take another one of these hits while the home is rather trashed, looking a lot worse than anyone expected. If we were to choose a winner here, we’d now what to pick.
The incident happened at around 8:24 AM (UK time) on Sunday, making everything even worse as the residents not only in this house but also the neighboring area were probably sleeping.
Possible causes include drunk driving, DUI or (most likely) speeding. The Police didn’t release any statements just yet. Not the best way to start the day, is it?
