Following the unveiling of the E-Scooter at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW Motorrad has improved on the design and has introduced an improved version that’s closer to the production model. The unveiling of the C evolution was meant to coincide with the 2012 London Olympics, where the ‘i’ concept cars are also being shown.
The new scooter is built on a composite platform and is powered by an electric motor delivering 11 kW (15 PS) under normal conditions, but capable of bursting our 35 kW (47 PS) for short periods of time.
The C evolution is limited to a top speed 120 km/h (75 mph) and can supposedly hold its own against 600cc maxi scooters in a sprint to 60 km/h (37 mph).
The onboard battery provides a range of up to 100 kilometers (62 miles) and can be charged from a wall socket or charging system in under three hours.
