The BMW M6 has recently received a new aftermarket exhaust, with the goodie coming from Slovenian specialist Akrapovic. The exhaust, which is suitable for both the Coupe and the Convertible versions of the M6, includes dual-outlet mufflers with exhaust valves, flow-optimized pipes, and a unique cast titanium X-shaped part with resonators. In addition to that, you can choose between polished titanium and aerospace-grade carbon fiber tail pipes.

The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine gains 10 hp at 5,950 rpm and 17 Nm (12.5 lb-ft) at 5,200 rpm, producing 571.5 hp and 739 Nm (545 lb-ft). In addition to that, the Akrapovic exhaust system is 12.3 kg (27.1 lbs) lighter than the stock one.

As always with this kind of engine tweaks, the hp and torque curves are very important and you can check them out in the PDF file below.
