BMW M5 ECU Remap by PP-Performance

When BMW introduced the new M5, letting the world know that the vehicle has adopted forced induction, the happiest people in the world to find this out were tuners, who knew that the twin-turbo setup allows them to play with the car further than before.

It is now time to show you what that can be translated into, with the latest development of this kind coming from German aftermaket specialist PP-Performance, which offers and ECU remap for the mighty 4.4-liter V8.

When it leaves the BMW factory, the mill delivers 560 hp and a peak torque of 680 Nm (502 lb-ft), but after receiving the aforementioned tuning treatment, the unit produces 612 hp and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque.

Thus, the sedan now needs 0.3 seconds less to cover the 0 to 100 km/h sprint (4.1 seconds), while the top speed has been increased from 250 km/h (155 mph) to 310 km/h (192 mph). You can have your F10 M5 remapped by PP-Performance for EUR3,499, but the company announced that it is also working on a Stage Two development, that will take things further.
