Renowned BMW tuning specialists Manhart are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a car that will blow the competition out of the water. Here's the MH2 630, a 630 horsepower BMW M2. What more can we say!?
We'll have to start with how good this thing looks from all angles, it is twice as aggressive as any regular M2, which is saying a lot.

With a metallic mocha paintjob and vented hood, there's something of an Aston Martin about this M2. You need that kind of heat extraction when the smallest M car currently in production offers more power than the Lamborghini Huracan supercar.

We always knew the 2 Series had this kind of potential, but it took a whole for BMW to put it to use. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and just examine the details.

The color used here is called Sunburst Gold Metallic, and it's an official BMW Individual color. This is accompanied by several details finished in gloss black and carbon fiber.

Manhart's approach to customization is usually subtle. In this case, we have a deep chin splitter, side skirts and some details around the back.

There have been a couple of other Manhart projects labeled MH2, both being based on the M235i. There was the 400 and the very yellow Clubsport, which featured a custom downpipe and 200-cell sports catalysers for a total output of 430 hp.

Right now, nobody knows exactly what has been done to the 3-liter single-turbo engine of the M2 to give it this much power. One possibility is that it has received a twin-turbo upgrade.

The project isn't official yet, so the photos we've managed to track down aren't of the highest quality. But when you hear there's a 630 horsepower M2 somewhere out there, you feel the need to track it down and share the story as soon as possible. So without further ado, enjoy the MH2 in all its glory!

Update: OMG, it's got a 630 horsepower S55. Talk about awesome engine swaps.
