BMW M Club Drive Goes Bad

We always thought that people who were part of car clubs were also good drivers. We figured that since you are into cars, you drive them passionately, you’d also do it well.

Apparently, in Russia, it’s not so. At a recent BMW M Club meeting in Moscow, several M cars from various generations were involved in what could only be described as huge collective accident. It was, of course, caused by driver error, when the driver of the blue E34 M5 decides to change lanes.

Little does he know that a yellowish E46 M3 has pulled up alongside him, and he makes the M3’s driver veer to the right. The rest is pretty clear to see, the M3 is completely totaled, taking a Subaru Forester (the involvement of which in the incident we still don’t understand).

Three people were injured, but thankfully, none seriously. The moral of all this carnage: use your mirrors, or it may be the last thing you don’t do.
