Powered by a tri-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six diesel engine, the X5 M50d puts 381 HP and 740 Nm of torque at the driver’s disposal via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Even though it’s capable of reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standing start in only 5.3 seconds, the X5 M50d has a fuel consumption of only 6.7 liters / 100 km (35.1 mpg US / 42.2 mpg UK).
Ten percent more economical than its predecessor, the EU6-compliant 2014 BMW X5 M50d comes with CO2 emission estimated at 177 g/km.
Standard features on the X5 M50d include Adaptive M suspension with Dynamic Damper Control and air suspension at the rear axle, and 19-inch M light-alloy wheels. There’s also an optional Dynamic adaptive suspension package that comprises Dynamic Performance Control and Dynamic Drive active roll stabilization.
