BMW F10 M5 Ring Taxi Spotted Next to Ferrari F430 Scuderia

Not too long ago the famous BMW M5 Ring taxi was involved in a rather gruesome crash on the Green Hell, one that saw the car nearly totaled. The reason was pretty simple: it was a case of oversteer. Nothing less, nothing more.

And yet, BMW tests their drivers before setting them off on the famous Nurburgring and they usually have thousands of laps around the famous track in their portfolio before being handed the lives of their passengers. How could that have happened?

Now, one of the famous Ring Taxis was just spotted near the track, fueling up and getting ready to entertain some people. From the looks of things, this is a different car than the one that crashed.

At the aforementioned petrol station, our uber-sedan met up with an older supercar. That’s right, it’s a beautiful red Ferrari, a 430 Scuderia by the looks of things.

You should know that the 430 was impressive on its own but the Scuderia was an improved version of it. It was lighter by 100 kilos compared to the ‘standard’ model and more powerful, squeezing 515 HP out of the 4.3-liter V8 engine under the bonnet. That allowed it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds even though it’s rear-wheel drive.

On the track, it would blow the F430 out of the water, even though the differences wouldn’t look all that big at first. Actually, Ferrari claims that the Scuderia was just as fast on their Fiorano Circuit as the Enzo or even the 458, a pretty amazing feat. Now if we could only see the two going head to head... A supercar versus a midsize sedan with 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque...
