A very diverse palette of 507s is on display and they include even the only 507 boat ever built to an Italian version. Initially launched as the 502, the car received its share of criticism, mainly coming from the only businessman that imported BMWs in the US, Max Hoffman.

Addressing the issues pointed out by Hoffmann, the Germans brought out a new version of the 502 just one year later, and this time, it wore the 507 badge on it.

These days, you can’t buy one of these brand new anymore. Every single one has to be restored now and this process is best handled by the experts from BMW and the possibilities are countless.

For example, there’s one yellow 507 at the show right now that was painted yellow because the owner wanted it this way, to match his wife’s scarf. Yes, that’s a true story and it’s not the only one as these restored cars are usually not done to their initial spec but to the one that the customer demands.

Either way, we’re here to admire the timeless beauty of the 507 and that’s what we’re going to do, by watching the video below. Enjoy!
