BMW ActiveHybrid 5 US Pricing Announced

BMW used the Detroit Auto Show to releases the US pricing for the ActiveHybrid 5, a vehicle that is scheduled to hit the market in late spring. The ActiveHybrid5 comes with a MSRP of $61,845, with the price including he $895 Destination and Handling charge.

We’ll remind you that the vehicle is based on the 535i, using a powertrain comprised of a 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine delivering 306 hp and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) and a 55 hp & 210 Nm (155 lb-ft) electric motor. The vehicles comes with a multitude of eco features, such as an intelligent start/stop feature.

Thus, for the money, you get a combined output of 340 hp and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft), with the the 0 to 62 mph time standing at 5.9 seconds. The ActiveHybrid 5 offers an all-electrtic range of 4 km (2.5 miles), with an all-electric top speed of 60 km/h (37 mph).
