Once upon a time, one automaker thought that having just two doors on a Coupe is not right. It was hard living with such a car, having to get in and out of it every time someone wanted to get into the back seat. Therefore, the decision was made to create a 4-door coupe, even though it basically disbarred the idea of what a ‘Coupe’ was.
That’s how the CLS-Class was born. It was the first mainstream model that was marketed as a 4-door coupe and Mercedes was more than successful with it. Today, they’re selling the second iteration of the model and more and more companies are taking after them, seeking the same kind of success.
BMW’s take on the 4-door coupe niche is called the 6 Series Gran Coupe and is basically a 5 Series with a different body. It’s looking rather good but it’s extremely expensive. Even so, people are going mad over it and for good reason.
Despite its price tag, the 6 Series Gran Coupe is and will be one of the most sought after models in BMW’s current line-up. If you can’t afford an M version, the M Sport 650i comes pretty close in comparison, just like the one the guys from SR Auto Group had in their shop not too long ago.
Its owner wanted a different look and in a couple of hours got exactly what he was looking for. The car was fitted with a new set of H&R lowering springs for a new stance and some PUR RS08 21 inch wheels that completely changed it. The end result is better looking than we expected.
