BMW has just released the 6 Series Coupe Concept, a model that is scheduled to be unveiled at the Paris Auto Show and is believed to enter production in 2011. As expected, the concept is described as a pure state-of-the-art model, but we won't go so far and let you check out the photo gallery below to make your own opinion on the car.
The luxurious 6 Series borrows several design lines from the Concept Gran Coupe and can be very well described as a two-door version of the model presented at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in China.
However, it still brings a lot of new things, such as LED adaptive headlights, the typical BMW twin-kidney grille, a four-tailpipe exhaust system plus 20-inch aluminum wheels. Inside, the German carmaker has used two-tone leather upholstery with wood trim and black details, a brand new 10.2-inch iDrive display in the center of the instrument panel plus a Head-Up function. Last but not least, it features a powerful16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system especially designed for the 6 Series.
There are no details on the engines to power the new BMW model, but voices are suggesting that a 4.4-liter V8 configuration that would develop around 395 horsepower and 609 Nm of torque is under consideration and has the biggest chances to make it to the 6 Series.
autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Paris Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
