Blown Holden HQ Does the Most Fiery Burnout Ever

Most burnout junkies know that the Australians are in a league of their own when it comes to laying down long strips of rubber on the asphalt. But what the owner of a heavily modified Holden HQ does beggars belief even if you think you've seen them all.
Let's start with the vehicle, shall we? General Motors' arm from the land down produced the Holden HQ range of automobiles for only three years, from 1971 to 1974. Naturally, most of these cars are now rust buckets scattered all around Australia's wastelands and wrecking yards. However, a few examples powered by the 308 and 350 cubic inch (5.0 and 5.7-liter) V8 engines are still roaming the streets with the same appetite for pulling big, smoky burnouts they did back in the '70s.

Rodney Waters' HQ sedan is one of them. In fact, let us reformulate that: Rodney Waters' HQ is probably the most burnout hungry of them all. Although we don't know how much power that dragstrip monster actually churns out, it's easy to tell that it's powered by a heavily tuned V8 mill aided by a gigantic belt-driven blower featuring a custom tri-blade throttle body for good measure.

Naturally, the HP and torque figures are off the scale compared to the original Holden HQ. In fact, this bad boy filled the town of Kandos from New South Wales, Australia with unbelievable amounts of smoke… and fire. We featured plenty of burnout videos, but we warn you this one is pretty insane all things considered.

Enough with the chit-chat. It's about time you scroll down and watch Rodney's HQ set the entire place ablaze.
