Blonde in a 2015 Corvette Z06 Drag Races a Brunette in a Cadillac CTS-V

We’ve always wished the drag strip line-up would be populated with more women and today is one of those days when the quarter mile fairy turns things into reality. And we’re talking about 1300 HP reality here, so you'd better have your seatbelt prepared for this one.

In the blue corner, we have a female 2015 Corvette Z06 owner whom we’ve talked about in the past. The car is entirely stock and the woman behind the wheel, Jessica, uses it as a daily driver. In fact, this is her first time at the races, which might explain the delicate position of the hands on the wheel.

In the white corner sits a Cadillac CTS-V that has been touched by the mechanical tuning wand and is driven by a woman named... Shelby. Under the hood, we find a Lingenfelter pulley upgrade, headers, cams and a methanol kit. All in all, the setup delivers 16 lbs of boost for an output of around 610 HP at the wheels. Speaking of which, the CTS-V uses drag radials.

Since the Cadillac has plenty of mods, the battle with the Corvette seems legit. And while we won’t ruin the fun of the clip by mentioning who wins. Still, we can tell you the ‘Vette pulls a 10.84 run.

The action took place at the Street Car Takeover St. Louis event, so you might just meet one of these two at the traffic lights some day. Beware!
