He might hang out with pop star Justin Bieber, but he’s not quite there yet. R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff, better known under his first name Khalil, keeps posting pictures with different luxury rides such as the 2014 GT Bentley Convertible or Chevrolet Corvette Stingray on his Instagram. Funny thing is, they’re all rentals which makes us think he still on the wanna-be faze of his “career.”
Signed with Def Jam Recording, he recorded a few singles, but did not release an album. The 2010 track “Girlfriend Ringtone” spent 13 weeks on Billboard’s “Bubbling Under” chart but did not break onto the main Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Khalil also featured on three songs on fellow young rapper Lil Twist’s mixtape “The Golden Child” hosted by Dj III Will.Last year, Khalil premiered his video for “Stars” in his VEVO account. As to this year, his most popular tube video is “Hey Lil Mama,” released in early 2011.

As you can see, the little fellow still has a couple of miles to catch up (hundreds maybe?) until he can actually talk about the big guns. In the case of the new Bentley Convertible, we’re talking performance allied to an eight-speed all-wheel drive transmission. The Speed chassis tune delivers thrilling agility, yet also rides harsh road surfaces with supple resilience. It’s a beast driven by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W-12 engine that makes a stunning 616 horsepower with a maximum torque of 590 lib-ft. Bentley claims that the sprint from zero to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) is a thing of 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h).

As to the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, well it’s only the quickest, most powerful, most capable standard Corvette ever made, according to its creator, of course. We’re talking about 460 horsepower engine with 465 lb-ft of torque which propels it from 0 to 60 mph (0-95 km/h) in 3.8 seconds.

So you see why this boy needs to wait for his turn. You first have to build your fame, only then you start showing off with your cars. It seems Justin Bieber didn’t teach him this lesson.
