Bentley Mulsanne Full Details Released
As already revealed, the Mulsanne packs a reengineered twin—turbocharged 6¾l V8 engine, developing 512PS (505bhp) at 4,200 rpm, with torque levels reaching a staggering 1,020 Nm. The unit allows the Mulsanne to reach 60 mph in 5.1 secnds (0-100 km/h in 5.3s).
Paired with a 8-speed automatic transmission with electronic shift interface, sport mode and steering-wheel mounted paddleshift, the unit allows for a maximum speed of 184 mph (296 km/h), while fuel consumption figures stand at 16.7 mpg (16.9 l/100km) in the EU combined cycle.
On the interior, just as you might expect, luxury all around. All the surfaces in the car (including seating, fascia, console, door panels, door pillars, parcel shelf, headlining, sunvisors and even the glovebox) are wrapped in hand-selected leather in 24 standard colors in single tone or duo-tone
In all, when the car will arrive next summer will offer 114 paint colors, 21 carpet colors, nine wood veneers and 24 interior leather hides, all of which will be tanned using a decades-old process to ensure this future classic never loses its scent.
Otherwise, infotainment and comfort is insured with the help of cruise control, rain sensing windscreen wipers, sentinel headlamp functions, 8-inch high-resolution color screen, central rotary controller for access to menus, 60GB hard disc drive with integrated satellite navigation system.
