Owners of Bentley cars that reside in California will be able to get fuel delivered to their vehicles using the service imagined and put together by Filld, a start-up company.
The idea is that the customers that will enter this collaborative trial will have their cars refueled without having to leave their parking space or even go through the hassle of handing someone your keys or unlocking the car for the service provider.
Instead, using Bentley’s connected car strategy, the specialists from Filld will arrive at a designated time and open the gas cap of the vehicle that is supposed to receive fuel, and then will fill the specified amount of gas.
The bill is sent automatically to the client, who does not have to do anything to have the car refilled. It is important to note that the deliveries operate 24/7, so Bentley customers in California have a compelling service in front of them.
Bentley says that the service is connected at a level that does not even require the owner to locate the vehicle for the delivery personnel. That means no more tracking your finder on a small map on a smartphone, so that the delivery will arrive at the correct address. Instead, the car will be identified and unlock its gas cap through the secure app.
In the future, this service is imagined to provide predictive fuel ordering. That would mean that the car would order the service to top it off whenever it notices that the fuel level reaches a particular level.
Evidently, the service would have to be configured beforehand, so do not be worried that your future Bentley will bankrupt you with its orders for fuel delivery.
While the startup Filld was seen as a waste of fuel at the time of introduction by some people, it appears that it suits the desires of some companies and clients to a considerable extent.
You must admit that this would make sense for a Bentley customer, as it would for a Ferrari owner or a client of Rolls-Royce. You can put any luxury brand on the list, and you would still get the same result. Sounds like a fantastic idea to us, although it is a bit peculiar.
