We've talked about the 2017 Porsche Panamera and the 2018 Bentley Continental GT sharing their platform on so many occasions that the Zuffenhausen machine's release has made us even more impatient when it comes to the arrival of the second-gen Conti GT.
As those of you following our stories on the topic know, the Crewe Grand Tourer has entered its advanced development stages. For instance, a series of spyshots we showed you back in June shows the car having overcome its early mule appearance, but still covered in heavy camo (no psychedelic wrap, though).

Since the British automaker has recently been tight-lipped on this topic, we've decided to quench our Continental GT thirst with the rendering above. The pixel manipulation brings a bit of a twist on the 2015 EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept, with the main ingredient being the Black hue of the thing (you can check out the original concept in the image gallery).

The image comes from rc82workchop and we have to admit we've been staring at it for quite a while now.

Let's be honest here - how many British Racing Greed-dressed Bentley Conti GTs have you seen compared to the Black ones? For this reason alone, it's important to see how the concept looks in the dark shade.

While the Continental GT will obviously stick to its current two-plus-two form, a potential production incarnation of the EXP 10 Speed 6 should see the Brits coming up with a two-seater. Even so, the concept allows us to get a pretty good idea on the styling direction used for the upcoming Grand Tourer.

Underneath the skin

One of the most important questions for us has to do with the scale footprint of the new Bentley coupe. For instance, despite the new MSB architecture of the second-gen Panamera making extended use of aluminum, the model isn't lighter than its predecessor - truth be told, it has maintained its weight while growing in size and boosting torsional rigidity.

And when the weight difference between the current Continental GT and the Bentayga isn't that great, it's easy to understand this is more than just a curiosity.
