Behold the Electric Car of the Future, But Only in Renderings For Now

Before starting any description on how some designers imagined the EV of the future, let's get acquainted with Toruk. I know, the name doesn't say much unless you're from Turkey, and you love green cars and design.

So, Toruk Group is an alliance of engineers and designers collaborating to bring you the future generation of electric cars. So far, so good. They also claim their cars "are engineered with an emphasis on performance and efficiency oriented around customer needs".

We won't get into discussing that, but you'll want to know they teamed-up with Netherlands-based firm Ugur Sahin Design, which came up with a design study that proposes an electric car our grandchildren will use.

As we expected, there are no technical specs associated with the car, but we'll give you this: it looks like a more palpable and realistic project than Apple's so-called iCar. It's also better looking, as designers gifted the prototype with a sleek supermini shape, resembling the Mazda2 Hazumi from some angles.

What looks like suicide doors are also part of the mix, along with round headlights and a diving, coupé-like roofline, while the taillights are elegantly found on each side of the rear window.

There's one interesting thing though that captured our attention. On their official website, Toruk Cars are saying that "by participating in this project you will also take part in shaping the Toruk electric car. You will not only choose but also have a say in each and every detail of your car". So before we make any financial plans, we'd like to know two things: official specs and launch date. Oh, and a proper name as well, please.
