Harley-Davidson indeed made the rumored move and surfaced a Low version of the Ultra touring machine, though in its Limited version instead of the Classic. It goes without saying that the Low version of the 2015 Ultra Limited will be an instant hit, especially among shorter riders and the female demographic, and even “standard height” motorcyclists looking for a lower, meaner bike. Cutting to the chase, the Low’s seat floats 685mm (27”) above the road, compared to the 740mm (29.1”) of the standard version.
As we predicted, the 2015 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited and its Low version are equipped with the standard Twin Cam 103 1,690cc engine, but in a twin-cooled trim, packing 138Nm (just under 102 lb-ft) of torque at 3,750 revs and promising a really sweet ride even when fully-loaded with gear and a passenger.
The machine is a tad on the heavy side, tipping the scales at 414 kg (914 lb) ready to ride, but with a 22.7-liter (6 US gal) tank, there’s going to be plenty of miles to eat before a refueling stop is needed… and we love that!

Since we’re dealing with a Project Rushmore machine, the 2015 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited boasts all the touring amenities one could ever dream of. A comprehensive dashboard includes analog and digital displays in a retro-modern mixture which looks just perfect, and the generous 6.5” color touchscreen of the Boom Box 6.5GT infotainment console dominating the sight.

Bluetooth, voice recognition, satellite radio, navigation and music are all available at a touch of a button… or a word away. Four 5.25” speakers provide quite a blast for those who like music on the go, and are a great complement for the standard cruise control. Also on the comfort side the 2015 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited receives rider and passenger floorboards, a heel-toe shifter, heated grips, premium seating, fairing lowers, one-touch opening for storage compartments and saddlebags, and air-adjustable suspensions.

Other tech details include Reflex linked brakes with ABS and Brembo calipers, Daymaker LED headlights and fog lights, and thicker forks now 49mm in diameter. Obviously, the 2015 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited is equipped with the six-speed Cruise Drive transmission for consistent power deployment in all situations.

The accessory list is also fully-loaded, waiting for those who feel like adding a more personal touch to the 2015 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited. The standard version of the Ultra Limited starts at $26,099 (€19,825), while the Low is in fact more expensive (we told you!), at $26,999 (€20,510).
