Nothing says lumberjack better than a red plaid shirt, jeans, boots and an axe. But then, cars are said to mirror their owners’ identity, so why not lumberjack out for good and get... I mean, make yourself a wooden pickup truck.
Brymer Mugford is not a lumberjack, but he is the creator of what you can call the “Toyloga”, a Toyota pickup truck rolling chassis re-bodied in wood.

He had his 1989 Toyota 4x4 pickup for quite some time, but one day he managed to rollover while driving off-road, making a mess of that fine boxy, straight-lined bodywork it had. We don’t have pictures with that, but we can almost imagine its dull redness.

Instead of shoving it down the graveyard’s compactor, Brymer thought to put his crafting skills to work and one night he decided to make a new body for it... out of wood; because why not?

So, he started salvage spruce wood from construction sites, adding up bit-by-bit to his truck every evening after work for about nine months. So you can say it’s his baby now.

The whole thing that rides on that sturdy chassis is made out of wood and the “highlander” theme is also carried over inside, where you’ll find wood seats, a wood central armrest, wood floor and of course a full furry upholstery.

As you can imagine, the Toyloga is not street legal, but this didn’t stop the man putting it out for sale at about $3,000. We couldn’t find the ad no more, so maybe someone got it after all.
