A 1961 Jaguar E-Type Roadster collected rust and dust in a garage in UK for more than 30 years. Once found now, Classic Motor Cars of Brighton (CMC) will take care of it, promising to restore every piece from tip to back.
This particular E-Type is the 60th model to to exit Jaguar’s plant in 1961, also being one of the early “Flat Floor” types that were lacking a dropped footwell to give more legroom. It also got every last original piece on it and has 65,000 miles (104,600 km) on the clock, making it perfect for a restoration project.

“Chassis No. 60 will be undergoing a full nut and bolt CMC restoration. We will restore every detail of the car to bring it back to the original specification. Once finished, it will be just as it left the factory.”, said CMC’s managing director Nick Goldthorp.

At first, the car was expected to be sold for about £30,000 (€35,500) at Bonhams’ RAF Museum sale on April 29th, but CMC came and paid £110,000 (€130,300) to make sure its theirs.
