Audi S1 to Launch in 2013
Of far greater interest is the S1, a hot supermini based on the smallest car Ingolstadt makes. According to a recent report from What Car? magazine, has the scoop on this car, and they say it’s on schedule to arrive within the next 18 months, which puts it mid to late 2013.
We can’t say for sure what kind of engine the S1 will use, but what is clear is that those unimpressed by the current 1.4 TFSI should hold onto their money, because the new model is rumored to pack about 220 horsepower. If this is indeed the case, than the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint should be dealt with in just over 6 seconds, while the speedometer should have 240 km/h (150 mph).
This car will produced in numbers and be available in most markets of the world.
