Audi Releases First Video of All-New Q3
When the Q3 was first shown, the exterior was typically Audi, but it actually looks good on video. It kinda looks like a little puppy dog with a sad face and an orange coat.
The 2012 Audi Q3 will be one of many new production and concept models to be introduced in a world premiere at next week’s Shanghai International Auto Show. It will first go on sale in Germany this June, at a base price of €29,900, and shortly after to the rest of Europe. The Ingolstadt-based automaker has not yet decided if it will bring the Q3 to North America.
Audi’s answer to the BMW X1 will come with 2.0-liter engines, both petrol and diesel. The 2.0-liter TFSI will come in two states of tune, offering 170 hp and 211 hp. The most powerful version of the two will propel the Q3 from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.9 seconds and on up to a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph).
Meanwhile, the 2.0-liter TDI be available with 177 hp at first and 170 hp later on. When coupled with front-wheel drive, the 140HP version will allow the car to return a combined fuel economy of than 5.2 liters per 100 kilometers (equal to 45.2 US mpg).
Both the two petrols and the more powerful diesel will come with permanent all-wheel drive.
