Audi Recalls S6 and S7 Over Potential Fire Risk
The automaker and the National Traffic Safety Administration have issued a recall which involves 3,594 vehicles in these United States, specifically model-year 2013 and 2014 Audi S6 and S7.
The fuel lines that feed the twin-turbo V8 may cause a leak, which in a high-powered gas-burner like this is a very serious safety risk. "A fuel leak, in the presence of an ignition source, may result in a fire," the NHTSA says.
The automaker will notify the owners and replace the offending fuel line free of charge. The recall will begin soon and if you want to contact Audi of America, you can do so 1-800-822-2834.
