Audi Q5 Custom Concept Takes to the 2009 Worthersee Tour
The Q5 got new clothes for the event, as well as a new heart. The car comes in a special Daytona Grey paint finish and rides on 21-inch wheels, a wider track, and has a lowered ride height. The 3.0l TFSi engine was boosted up from 333 horsepower to 408, making the custom concept capable of accelerating from naught to 100 km/hour in 4.4 seconds. The top speed of the Q5 is 250 km/hour (155 mph).
On the inside, the Q5 custom concept boasts stainless steel-plated pedals, S line sport seats, panorama roof system, “Worthersee 09” adhesive film and textile floor mats with “Worthersee 09” print application. Infotainment and safety are insured by Audi drive select vehicle dynamics system, parking aid with rearview camera, voice control, Audi lane change assistant and headlight range control with cornering lights.
In addition to the custom concept and the models showcased by the German manufacturer, Audi will also host an "exclusive idea contest on the Internet for Audi A3 accessories at the Wörthersee Tour - the Audi Customizing Club."
Those chosen will have a chance to show their ideas in terms of body parts design (spoilers, side sills, headlights, rear lights, steering wheels, gear lever knobs, door handles, seats, mirrors, roof racks, or wheels), with the launch of a contest on the Audi Customizing Club website.
The winning ideas will get the chance to be fitted onto an Audi show car "at an yet undetermined event next year."
