Audi Opens New Training Center
“Audi wants to be the world’s leading brand in the area of customer satisfaction. We must therefore set ourselves apart by providing top service and outstanding customer interaction, especially when it comes to service,” Peter Schwarzenbauer, Audi marketing and sales member of the board said in a release.
The courses through which Audi intends to turn its employees into experts will target anything and everything, from identifying strange noises made by the vehicle to replacing body and mechanical parts. The new center will also try and initiate Audi its own and partner services employees into handling problems with electric and hybrid drive systems.
“We are preparing our employees for the technologies of the future,” Schwarzenbauer added. “We’re training them in innovative, especially fast repair procedures, so they can help our customers more efficiently. But above all, we place a high priority on superior communication skills for all employees.”
According to Audi, some 1,700 services across Germany have sent their employees to the training centers. They all had to undergo training days and self-study programs, supported through specific computer programs and iTV shows. Audi says it had a total of 38,000 training days in 80 training modules this year alone.
