Five freshly photoshopped images have been stolen from Audi’s vault of treasures and have leaked out on the internet… intentionally leaked, that is. If Audi wanted to surprise us with a nice concept car that changes the way we perceive the brand, I think you’ll agree that they’ve failed miserably.
Just like Jalopnik predicted, this isn’t anything more than a shooting brake that previews the next TT’s design. You can tell that most easily from the fact that the interior has air vents with windows in them and an all-digital cluster. The single leaked interior shot does show subtle differences: the gearbox is an automatic with a slick Quattro style stick and there’s a red boost button on the steering wheel. Why? Because this is an e-tron, which means pressing that button will push you into the headrest.

Since this is so obviously a TT preview, the design doesn’t strike us as a future Audi Q1 or Q2 model any more, since the TT is A3 sized and so is the Q3. This is rather disappointing, but at least we get to see the grille and headlights of the next Ingolstadt 2+2 coupe.

We’ll get a better look at Audi’s concept next week in Detroit, so stay tuned.
