Audi A4 Avant Gets Impressive Power Upgrades from ABT

There's a rumor going around that the German power wars are still going on, only they've been made more secretive. It's said that Audi measures its power output as if the engine was being used in a high temperature low air density environment. The official horsepower figures represent the minimum.

Taking that into account, you'd think people would be happy with stock engines, but they're not, which is why ABT Sportsline is making power kits. The German tuner specializes in VAG models and has recently targeted the A4 Avant.

Starting from the bottom, the 1.8 TFSI has received a boost to 211 hp, while the bigger 2.0 TFSI now makes 270 hp. The most impressive petrol version is based on the 3.0-liter TFSI V6, which has been lifted from 270 to 380 hp.

The diesel power boost are equally as impressive, as the 2.0 TDI goes all the way to 205 hp, while the 3.0 TDI has been tuned to 300 hp.
