Aston Martin Announces DBS, DB9 Centennial Editions by Zagato [Photo Gallery]
The models selected by Aston Martin and handed over to Zagato for an exotic restyling are the DB9 and DBS grand tourers. Designed with a “double bubble” roof, a concept introduced by Zagato in the 1950s, the Aston Martin DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial was conceived for a “young and prestigious Japanese entrepreneur”.
The second vehicle, the DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial, was designed by the same team that made the DB7 Zagato and honors “the heritage, power and elegance of Aston Martin’s Centenary”. This unique sportscar will also find its way to a special customer - well known American car collector Peter Read.
Little else is known about the two Zagato-bodied Astom Martin’s, but both models could make their public debut at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
