Honda fans rejoice, as Arai unveils a new limited edition helmet based on their RX-7V racing model. The RX-7V HRC Limited Edition is a tribute to the Honda Racing Corporation, and the result of a limited partnership between the two companies.
Arai has an agreement with the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer for the use of the HRC logo, but this agreement will only last for a limited period of time. This means that once these helmets are gone, the chances to get one are going to be slim, to say the least.

Those eyeing to get their hands on this instant collectible can preorder the Arai RX-7V HRC Limited Edition helmets now, as they will not be even stocked by Arai Europe, therefore not available in shops. The graphic design is signed by Aldo Drudi of Drudi Performance, a name that has been working with Arai for quite a long time now.

Drudi is also designing the Isle of Man TT limited edition helmets that are sold each year around the date when its legendary Tourist Trophy races take place. And to understand better the level of Drudi Performance, we'll just add that Yamaha MotoGP rider and nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi is also commissioning the design of his spectacular and funny helmets to the Italian firm.

The Arai RX-7V HRC Limited Edition sports the HRC red&blue logo on the forehead and the sides, with the Arai logo relocated on the chin piece.

The iconic Honda wings run from the ends of the visor slot towards the back of the head. Apparently, the serial number that can be seen on the chin bar in these photos will not be in the final product. It is reportedly used in the promo photos to stress the exclusive, limited edition character of the lid.

"Arai uses a net structure core, assembled and bonded within Super Fiber and other special synthetic fibers. These special fibers are also used for the visor panel of F-1 helmets and have superb characteristics in tensile strength and flexibility. Our shells are carefully molded with multiple material layers including a Super Fiber belt across the helmet, just above the visor opening for extra strength. We have also developed a new resin in pursuit of a lightweight but very strong shell," Arai informs us.

The Arai RX-7V HRC Limited Edition helmet can be preordered in the UK, so far, for a price of £650, which Google tells us equates to $941 or €831.
