Andy Murray to Pay 100,000 Pounds to Insure His Ferrari
The insurance costs £100,000, the Daily Mail reports, which is as much as he paid for the 196 mph Italian supercar in the first place. For that money, Andy should be careful not to smash it.
Another thing worth mentioning is the 22-year-old passed his driving test just five months ago, which makes us wonder whether it wasn’t too soon for him to get behind the wheel of a car that does sixty in just 4 seconds and has a top speed of 196 mph.
The Scotsman won £2.25 million this year for his playing, but declared himself motivated by his love of the game rather than the money. "There''s a lot of money to be won but it''s funny, because when you''re playing, that doesn''t cross your mind at all. It just comes with winning," Murray was quoted as saying by The Sun some one moth ago.
Murray is in the same four-man group with the world’s top player Roger Federer. Andy currently prepares for a fresh start next season, beginning with the 2010 Hopman Cup on January 2.
