Bugatti introduced the first of six special-edition Veyron models as a part of its Bugatti Legends at last year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and now a year later, the final model will be revealed at the same event. To celebrate these special cars, Bugatti has assembled them all together for the first – and possibly only – time.
The six-limited edition models were created to honor Bugatti legends Jean-Pierre Wimille, Jean Bugatti, Meo Costantini, Rembrandt Bugatti, Black Bess and Ettore Bugatti, and only three examples of each car were or are being produced. And even before the final model is officially revealed, all 18 Bugatti Legends are already sold.
If you’re in attendance at Pebble Beach this weekend, Bugatti will have the six cars on display today at The Quail – A Motorsports Gathering in Carmel, CA and tomorrow and Sunday at the Concours d’Elegance. Just in case you’re wondering, these six cars have a combined value of $17.64 million (€13.18 million) based on thier MSRP.
“The Legends edition is a great success. The edition shows that history can be authentically clothed in contemporary design. In addition, we have the technical excellence and luxurious comfort of a modern Bugatti. The Bugatti Legends have already proven to be highly-valued collectors’ items,” said Wolfgang Dürheimer, president of Bugatti Automobiles.
