Seat’s all-new Leon is here, and it has just gotten its official UK pricing information, ahead of the start of deliveries, planned for March of next year. The information was provided by SEAT’s President, James Muir, who also stated that the Leon range was set to grow, with the addition of two new models: coupe and estate.
Back to the pricing, the Leon, in its most basic S trim, starts off in the UK at £15,670, and for that you get a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, with 105 hp, manual air conditioning, MP3-compatible six-speaker audio system, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

Move up to SE, and you get leather-clad steering wheel, front fog lights, as well as SEAT’s XDS electronic limited slip differential. Opt for the top-spec FR models, and you get 17-inch alloys, a sportier body kit, as well as sports suspension and bucket seats on the inside.

Also, the list of options is predictably large, featuring such amenities as full-leather interior, full-LED headlamps, sat-nav, parking sensors and 18-inch rims. Engines wise, aside from the base 1.2-liter, petrol fans can opt for either a 1.4-liter unit with 138 hp and a 1.8-liter unit with 178 hp - all engines in its range are turbocharged.

For those who prefer the pulling power of a diesel, SEAT is offering the now commonplace 1.6-liter TDI unit, with 105 hp, and the 2.0-liter TDI engine, which is available in two states of tune: 148 hp and 181 hp. With the latter equipped, and in FR trim, the Leon will set you back £22,375, without any optional extras.
